About us

Our mission:  To provide client-centered care using evidence-based therapies with compassion, authenticity, and the belief that all people have the innate ability to heal themselves. We accomplish this by empowering individuals to thrive through life’s challenges, as we foster personal growth and deeper personal connections.

We believe as a practice it’s incumbent upon us to contribute to the collective community of therapists by offering training to new therapists as we make quality therapy both more affordable and accessible.

Our vision: We aspire to pioneer a journey towards holistic wellness by seamlessly intertwining advanced medical technology with the profound depths of psychotherapeutic exploration. Anchored in a steadfast alliance with medical practice, our approach harmonizes cutting-edge, evidence-based psychotherapy with the timeless wisdom embedded in client-centered care.

As a collective practice at Careworks, we acknowledge that we practice and share therapeutic knowledge on the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), which we recognize as the traditional, ancestral homelands of the Beothuk and the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq. Careworks acknowledges all First Peoples who came before us, who are here presently, and the seven generations to come while committing ourselves to working and living in a spirit of truth and reconciliation. As settlers of Turtle Island, we invite all Indigenous peoples to expand or correct this acknowledgement as necessary.
