“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”
Careworks Counselling & Psychotherapy prides itself on offering opportunities for new mental health practitioners to learn and grow and ultimately move into independent practice. We recognize the need for more mental health practitioners both in our community and our society, and we aim to do our part to help fill this gap in this much needed health service.
a pro bono session with our intern Olivia *
Careworks Counselling & Psychotherapy is an approved supervision site for the Master of Arts Counselling Psychology program offered through Yorkville University. Through our clinic, practicum students and interns can complete the required hours (400-1000 hours) of direct client contact. Our interns are closely supervised by our clinic director, Charlene Wiseman (bio), and they are offered and encouraged to complete additional training and additional supervision outside our clinic in order to get the most comprehensive and deep understanding of psychotherapy available.
*Affordable therapy options are intended to help clients who do not have access to insurance coverage and could not afford therapy otherwise. Careworks reserves the right to deny affordable options for clients that have insurance coverage. Thank you for your understanding.
