LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

As a collective practice at Careworks, we acknowledge that we practice and share therapeutic knowledge on the island of Ktaqmkuk (Newfoundland), which we recognize as the traditional, ancestral homelands of the Beothuk and the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq. Careworks acknowledges all First Peoples who came before us, who are here presently, and the seven generations to come while committing ourselves to working and living in a spirit of truth and reconciliation. As settlers of Turtle Island, we invite all Indigenous peoples to expand or correct this acknowledgement as necessary.
